Qian Gao

I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering at Queen Mary University of London, U.K. I received the B.S. degree from Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, China, in 2019 and the M.Sc degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, in 2022. My interests include integrated sensing and communication, WiFi human sensing and artifical intelligence. I am supervised by Prof. Ruikang Zhong and Prof. Yuanwei Liu.

Research Interest

What I work on

Learning-based ISAC optimization: reinforcement learning (including multi-agent RL) and deep learning frameworks for joint sensing-communication design.
Beamforming / antenna selection for large arrays: distributed antenna selection and scalable beamforming for ELAA-based ISAC systems.
UAV-enabled ISAC: trajectory and beamforming co-optimization in 3D deployments under practical constraints.
Structured learning pipelines: feature extraction (e.g., autoencoders), RL-based beampattern search, and supervised reconstruction for low-complexity solutions.
WiFi human sensing: cross-modal representation learning to improve robustness and automation in sensing tasks.
